This workshop helps caregivers foster emotional awareness, self-regulation, empathy and healthy communication among children and adolescents. Participants explore how adults model emotional intelligence and create environments where young people feel emotionally safe, valued and understood.
It is part of a three-workshop Parent Caregiver series from the Peace and Justice Institute (PJI), a new nonprofit educational partner of the Center for Health & Wellbeing. PJI offers experiential, relationship-centered learning that promotes mental health, resilience and healthy relationships among youth, caregivers and families.
Presented by the Peace and Justice Institute and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
